Marianne Dryer
Marianne Dryer, RDH, M.Ed. is an international speaker, published author, and Program Director of Dental Hygiene at Cape Cod Community College in Massachusetts. A graduate of the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists, she is known for her expertise in periodontal instrumentation, ultrasonic technology, clinical calibration, and risk-based care. She is the 2025 Sunstar Award of Distinction recipient in Academia and the 2025 Dr. Esther Wilkins Distinguished Alumni Award honoree. Marianne is widely recognized for advancing modern periodontal education through AI-supported assessment and evidence-based clinical strategies.

Lauren Cisternino
Lauren Cisternino is a passionate dental hygiene educator recognized for her engaging, evidence-based approach to continuing education. She blends clinical expertise with a strong commitment to empowering clinicians through practical, take-home skills in periodontal assessment and instrumentation. Her dynamic lectures and hands-on workshops are grounded in extensive clinical and academic experience.
Lauren currently serves as an Assistant Professor and Clinic Coordinator at Greenville Technical College. She previously held full-time faculty positions at Cape Cod Community College and MCPHS University. She earned her Master of Education from Saint Joseph's College of Maine and her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.

CALibrate Education was founded to support dental hygiene educators and clinicians in achieving greater precision and consistency in periodontal assessment and instrumentation. With a focus on Clinical Attachment Level (CAL) calibration and minimally traumatic ultrasonic therapy, programs are designed to align with contemporary periodontal classification frameworks while enhancing both student confidence and clinical outcomes.
Led by Marianne Dryer, RDH, M.Ed. — known throughout the profession as "The Ultrasonic Whisperer" — and co-educator Lauren Cisternino, RDH, M.Ed., CALibrate Education bridges academic rigor with practical application through faculty calibration sessions, lecture-based education, and hands-on clinical workshops.
CALibrate Education is actively expanding internationally, with current collaborations in development across Europe — including engagement with the Italian dental hygiene community and outreach to UK institutions. Marianne was among the first US-based clinical educators to bring precision ultrasonic education to European audiences, including London, and continues to bridge American clinical expertise with European dental practice.
